Prosthechea boothiana merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Orchidaceae (suku anggrek-anggrekan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh menempel pada batang pohon lain (epifit) dan membentuk umbi semu (pseudobulbous). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Florida selatan, Karibia,Meksiko tenggara, hingga Guatemala. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan dollar orchid.
