Protea aurea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Proteaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Protea aurea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nicolaas Laurens Burman pada tahun 1979.
