Prunella × bicolor merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Eropa. Nama ilmiah Prunella × bicolor diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Günther Beck von Mannagetta und Lerchenau pada tahun 1883.
