Prunus argentea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Suriah hingga Iran barat. Nama ilmiah Prunus argentea diperkenalkan oleh Jean-Baptiste Lamarck pada tahun 1922.
