Prunus hypotricha merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China selatan. Nama ilmiah Prunus hypotricha pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alfred Rehder pada tahun 1917.
