Prunus microphylla merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Meksiko. Nama ilmiah Prunus microphylla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Sigismund Kunth pada tahun 1880.
