Prunus ovalis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Peru. Nama ilmiah Prunus ovalis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hipólito Ruiz López pada tahun 1915.
