Prunus schlechteri merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Papuasia. Nama ilmiah Prunus schlechteri diperkenalkan oleh Bernhard Adalbert Emil Koehne pada tahun 1965.
