Prunus trichantha merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Sikkim hingga Tibet. Nama ilmiah Prunus trichantha pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Bernhard Adalbert Emil Koehne pada tahun 1912.
