Psephellus hymenolepis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Kaukasia. Nama ilmiah Psephellus hymenolepis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ernst Rudolf von Trautvetter pada tahun 1888.
