Psephellus leucophyllus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Kaukasia. Nama ilmiah Psephellus leucophyllus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Friedrich August Marschall von Bieberstein pada tahun 1831.
