Pseudopodospermum szowitzii merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Mediterania timur hingga Pakistan barat daya. Nama ilmiah Pseudopodospermum szowitzii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1978.
