Psilocarphus tenellus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Sri Lanka, India, hingga China (Yunnan, Guangdong, dan Fujian selatan). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan slender woollyheads. Nama ilmiah Psilocarphus tenellus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Thomas Nuttall pada tahun 1840.
