Psychotria brucei merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Tanzania (Pegunungan Uluguru). Nama ilmiah Psychotria brucei diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Bernard Verdcourt pada tahun 1975.
