Psychotria buchii merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Hispaniola. Nama ilmiah Psychotria buchii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ignatz Urban pada tahun 1903.
