Psychotria dorotheae merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari kawasan tropis Afrika bagian barat hingga Kamerun. Nama ilmiah Psychotria dorotheae pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Herbert Fuller Wernham pada tahun 1913.
