Psychotria exigua merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Queensland (Macpherson Range). Nama ilmiah Psychotria exigua diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Frederick Manson Bailey pada tahun 1929.
