Psychotria micrantha merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko (Chiapas) hingga Venezuela dan Peru. Nama ilmiah Psychotria micrantha pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Sigismund Kunth pada tahun 1819.
