Psychotria rhinocerotis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Myanmar hingga kawasan Malesia barat. Nama ilmiah Psychotria rhinocerotis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Caspar Georg Carl Reinwardt pada tahun 1826.
