Pteronia teretifolia merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape selatan. Nama ilmiah Pteronia teretifolia pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Peter Thunberg pada tahun 1932.
