Ptilochaeta glabra merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Malpighiaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil. Nama ilmiah Ptilochaeta glabra pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Franz Josef Niedenzu pada tahun 1891.
