Ptilostemon echinocephalus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Ukraina, Krym, Türkiye utara, hingga Kaukasia. Nama ilmiah Ptilostemon echinocephalus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Ludwig von Willdenow pada tahun 1967.
