Ptychosperma macarthurii merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Arecaceae (suku pinang-pinangan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Papua selatan hingga Australia utara. Nama ilmiah Ptychosperma macarthurii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hermann Wendland pada tahun 1884.
