Purdiaea shaferi merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Clethraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kuba. Nama ilmiah Purdiaea shaferi diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Nathaniel Lord Britton pada tahun 1915.
