Pycnophyllum macropetalum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Caryophyllaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma pegunungan tropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Peru hingga Argentina (Salta). Nama ilmiah Pycnophyllum macropetalum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johannes Mattfeld pada tahun 1922.
