Pycnosorus chrysanthus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Australia tengah dan timur. Nama ilmiah Pycnosorus chrysanthus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Diederich Franz Leonhard von Schlechtendal pada tahun 1853.
