Pycnosorus melleus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Queensland, Australia Selatan. Nama ilmiah Pycnosorus melleus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Joy Everett pada tahun 1992.
