Pyrrosia africana merupakan tumbuhan epifit dari famili Polypodiaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Mozambique selatan hingga Provinsi Cape timur. Nama ilmiah Pyrrosia africana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Gustav Kunze pada tahun 1937.
