Quercus macrocarpa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fagaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kanada selatan-tengah dan tenggara hingga Alabama. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan bur oak. Nama ilmiah Quercus macrocarpa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama André Michaux pada tahun 1801.
