Quercus muehlenbergii merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fagaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Krym hingga Türkiye timur dan China (Shaanxi dan Henan). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan chinkapin oak. Nama ilmiah Quercus muehlenbergii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Georg Engelmann pada tahun 1877.
