Quercus tomentella merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fagaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari California (Kepulauan Channel), Meksiko (Baja California), hingga Guadalupe. Nama ilmiah Quercus tomentella pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Georg Engelmann pada tahun 1877.
