Quetzalia occidentalis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Celastraceae yang memiliki pola tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko (Hidalgo, Veracruz, Oaxaca), hingga Amerika tengah. Nama ilmiah Quetzalia occidentalis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ludwig Eduard Theodor Loesener pada tahun 1970.
