Rauvolfia caffra merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Apocynaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Afrika dan Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Rauvolfia caffra pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Otto Wilhelm Sonder pada tahun 1850.
