Restio hystrix adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Restionaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Restio hystrix pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Maxwell Tylden Masters pada tahun 1869.
