Restio praeacutus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Restionaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat-barat-daya. Nama ilmiah Restio praeacutus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Maxwell Tylden Masters pada tahun 1897.
