Restio pygmaeus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Restionaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Restio pygmaeus diperkenalkan oleh Neville Stuart Pillans pada tahun 1945.
