Retama rhodorhizoides merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Kepulauan Kanaria. Nama ilmiah Retama rhodorhizoides diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Philip Barker Webb pada tahun 1842.
