Rhaponticum centauroides merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Pyrenees. Nama ilmiah Rhaponticum centauroides diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Oriol de Bolòs pada tahun 1970.
