Rhaponticum chinense merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China tengah dan selatan, Korea. Nama ilmiah Rhaponticum chinense diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Spencer Le Marchant Moore pada tahun 2006.
