Rhaponticum pygmaeum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Mediterania timur. Nama ilmiah Rhaponticum pygmaeum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1838.
