Rhinanthus major adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan hemiparasit berumur semusim dari famili Orobanchaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Eropa hingga Siberia. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan european yellow rattle. Nama ilmiah Rhinanthus major pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carolus Linnaeus dalam Species Plantarum tahun 1756.
