Rhododendron atropunicum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Ericaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China (Sichuan barat daya). Nama ilmiah Rhododendron atropunicum mulai dipublikasikan pada tahun 1988.
