Rhododendron calophytum var. openshawianum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Ericaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China (Sichuan barat daya, Yunnan timur laut). Nama ilmiah Rhododendron calophytum var. openshawianum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Alfred Rehder pada tahun 1979.
