Rhododendron dilatatum var. boreale merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Ericaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Jepang (Hokkaido selatan). Nama ilmiah Rhododendron dilatatum var. boreale diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Junichi Sugimoto pada tahun 1972.
