Rhododendron lagopus var. niphophilum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Ericaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Jepang (utara dan Honshu tengah). Nama ilmiah Rhododendron lagopus var. niphophilum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Takasi Yamazaki pada tahun 1988.
