Rhododendron phaeochrysum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Ericaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia selatan hingga Chili utara dan Argentina (Jujuy dan Salta). Nama ilmiah Rhododendron phaeochrysum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Isaac Bayley Balfour pada tahun 1917.
