Rhodomyrtus tomentosa var. parviflora merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Myrtaceae (suku jambu-jambuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah India barat daya, Sri Lanka. Di Indonesia tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan nama kemunting. Nama ilmiah Rhodomyrtus tomentosa var. parviflora diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Arthur Hugh Garfit Alston pada tahun 1978.
