Rhus aromatica var. serotina merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Anacardiaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Serikat bagian tengah hingga Arkensas. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan fragrant sumac. Nama ilmiah Rhus aromatica var. serotina diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Edward Lee Greene pada tahun 1939.
