Rhynchosia cinerea merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Florida. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan brownhair snoutbean. Nama ilmiah Rhynchosia cinerea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Valentine Nash pada tahun 1895.
