Rhynchosia precatoria merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Selatan Serikat hingga Kolombia. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan rosary snoutbean. Nama ilmiah Rhynchosia precatoria pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alexander von Humboldt pada tahun 1825.
